# ComplySub

> ComplySub checks subcontractors' insurance certificates and contractor licenses against each general contractor's or property manager's requirements, flags gaps and expirations, reminds vendors and their agents, and gives subcontractors one compliance packet to share.

## How it works

1. **Set your requirements.** Limits, endorsements, certificate holder, and license rules, once per type of vendor.
2. **Send the upload link.** Each vendor gets a personal link and adds a certificate without an account.
3. **See gaps and get reminders.** ComplySub reads the certificate, flags what falls short, and reminds the vendor and their agent before anything expires.

## Who it is for

- **General contractors and property managers** track vendor insurance and licenses against their own requirements.
- **Subcontractors** keep one compliance packet and share it with every general contractor, checked against each one's requirements.

## FAQ

### What does ComplySub check?

It reads an ACORD 25 certificate of insurance and compares it with the requirements you set: general liability, auto, umbrella, and workers' compensation limits, additional insured, waiver of subrogation, primary and non-contributory wording, the certificate holder, and expiration dates. It also records contractor license status and flags licenses that are inactive, expired, or about to expire.

### How do vendors upload their certificate?

You send each vendor a personal upload link. They open it, add the certificate from their phone or computer, and are done. They do not need an account, and their insurance agent can upload on their behalf.

### Is ComplySub legal or insurance advice?

No. ComplySub reads documents and compares them with the requirements you set, and it can make mistakes. The original certificate stays attached to every result so you can check it, and your contract, attorney, and insurance broker decide what is actually required and whether coverage is adequate.

### Which states are covered for contractor licenses?

License status is available for Colorado, California, Texas, and Florida. For any other state, or a trade a state does not license, you can enter the license number and expiration by hand and get the same expiry tracking and reminders.

### How does ComplySub read a certificate?

An AI model (Google Gemini on Vertex AI) extracts the fields from the uploaded document, and ComplySub then runs fixed checks against your requirements. If a document cannot be read, it is flagged as a finding instead of passing silently.

### What reminders does ComplySub send?

On paid plans, ComplySub emails the vendor and, when you have its address, the vendor's insurance agent 30 days, 14 days, and on the day a certificate expires. You see the open gaps and a weekly digest in your dashboard and inbox.

### How long are documents kept?

Documents and the fields read from them are kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of account deletion. We do not sell data and do not train models on customer documents.

### Does it work with Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI assistants?

Yes. ComplySub runs an MCP server at https://complysub.agntwrk.com/mcp that Claude, ChatGPT, and other MCP clients can connect to, so you can ask about vendors, gaps, and expirations in chat. It is included with Pro, Business, and Subs Pro.

### What does ComplySub cost?

General contractors and property managers start free with up to 5 vendors, then $49 a month for Pro (up to 50 vendors) or $149 a month for Business (up to 250 vendors). Subcontractors get a free packet with one certificate, or Subs Pro for $12 a month with every document and license monitoring.

### How do I cancel?

Open the billing page in your dashboard, which opens the Stripe customer portal, and cancel there at any time. To delete your account and its data, write to hello@agntwrk.com.
